Al club. Escríbale a la persona que lo administra — el mismo correo o el mismo mensaje dentro de la aplicación que usa para todo lo demás. Cancha no puede devolverle una cuota por su cuenta, del mismo modo que el banco donde el club tiene su cuenta tampoco decide a quién le devuelve dinero.

The club. Write to whoever runs it — the same email address or the same in-app message you use for everything else. Cancha cannot give you a refund on its own, any more than the bank the club banks with decides who gets money back.

Qué cuotas se devuelven y cuáles no lo decide cada club. Which dues are refundable is each club's own decision. Season calendars, kit orders and league registrations differ from club to club, and the club has already paid for those. Cancha does not set that policy, does not change it and cannot override it. Ask your club for its policy in writing before you register your child.

Si esa tarjeta ya venció o esa cuenta ya se cerró, es su banco —no el club— quien decide a dónde va a parar el dinero, y esa conversación es con ellos.

Always to the method it was paid with. Card payments go back to that card; bank payments go back to that account. A refund cannot be redirected to a different card, put in someone else's name, or handed back in cash. If that card has expired or that account is closed, it is your bank — not the club — that decides where the money lands, and that conversation is with them.

Si usted le pagó al club en efectivo, por Venmo, Zelle o Cash App, el club le devuelve el dinero por ese mismo camino. Ese pago nunca pasó por nosotros; en la aplicación sólo quedó anotado que ya estaba pagado.

If you paid the club in cash, or by Venmo, Zelle or Cash App, the club gives it back the same way. That payment never passed through us at all; all the app ever held was a note that it had been paid.

How long it takes to show up

The club sends the refund the same day it approves it. Everything after that is the family's bank, not the club and not Cancha. As a guide, a card refund usually appears within {{TODO: card refund window — confirm Stripe's current figure}}, and a refund to a bank account within {{TODO: ACH refund window — confirm Stripe's current figure}}. If that time has passed and you still don't see it, tell the club: they can give you the refund confirmation to show your bank.

The dues charge appears as {{TODO: statement descriptor families will see — not yet decided}}. The refund arrives separately, as a credit; the original charge is not erased and does not disappear from your statement. If you see a charge you don't recognise, ask your club first — it is almost always a child's dues for the month, charged by the club.

A bank payment can fail days after it looked paid

Pagar desde su cuenta del banco le sale más barato al club, pero no es inmediato: el banco tarda alrededor de cuatro días hábiles en liquidarlo. Durante esos días la aplicación muestra el pago como pendiente, esperando a su banco.

Paying from your bank account is cheaper for the club, but it is not instant: the bank takes about four business days to clear it. During those days the app shows the payment as pending, waiting on your bank.

Si el banco lo rechaza —cuenta cerrada, fondos insuficientes, un número mal escrito— la factura vuelve a quedar pendiente y a usted le llega un aviso en su propio idioma el mismo día en que nos enteramos, para que no se entere hasta que alguien le cobre un mes que usted creía pagado. If the bank rejects it — closed account, not enough money, a mistyped number — the invoice goes back to owing and you get a notice in your own language the same day we hear about it, so the first you hear of it isn't someone chasing you for a month you thought you'd paid. It is not a double charge and it is not a penalty: the money never left your account. Pay again when you can, or talk to the club if something else is wrong.

If you tell your bank you don't recognise a charge, the bank opens a dispute and pulls the money back while it investigates. That is slower and more expensive for everyone than asking the club for a refund, and it leaves the club worse off than if you had simply asked. Ask the club first.

Si de todos modos se abre una disputa: el club reúne los comprobantes —la inscripción, la factura, el recibo— y Cancha le ayuda a encontrarlos, pero no somos parte de la disputa. Quien decide es el banco de la familia, y ni el club ni nosotros podemos revertir esa decisión.

If a dispute is opened anyway: the club gathers the evidence — the registration, the invoice, the receipt — and Cancha helps them find it, but we are not a party to the dispute. The family's bank decides, and neither the club nor we can overturn that.

Cancha is the software your club collects with. We don't hold dues money, we don't decide what your club charges, and we don't approve or deny refunds. What we can do if you write to [email protected]: find your payment, tell you what state it's in, and put you in touch with the right person at your club.

La instalación

The setup fee

La instalación empieza en $200 USD por club y se paga en dos mitades: una al firmar y la otra cuando el club ya está funcionando. Cubre la configuración de la cuenta y del sitio público, dejar los pagos conectados a nombre del club, importar la lista de jugadores y capacitar al personal.

Setup starts at $200 USD per club and is paid in two halves: one at signing and one when the club goes live. It covers setting up the account and the public site, connecting payment processing in the club's own name, importing the roster, and training the staff.

• The first half stops being refundable once setup work has begun. That work is real and it happens before the club sees anything running.
• If we are the ones who can't complete setup, any unearned portion is refunded.
• We don't take the second half until the service is live and the club is using it. A club never has more than half the setup fee at risk — if it decides not to go ahead, that second half is simply never charged.

The monthly fee

Casi nunca hay nada que devolver, porque casi nunca hay una factura. There is almost never anything to refund, because there is almost never an invoice. When a family pays by card or from their bank, our share comes out of that same transaction at the moment it happens and the rest goes to the club's account. We keep no card on file for the club and we do not charge it automatically each month. There is no subscription to renew and no recurring charge to stop.

Lo único que sí se factura es el ajuste por los pagos en efectivo (o por Venmo, Zelle y similares) que pasan del 20% permitido: $1.00 por cada uno. Esa factura se manda a mano cada mes, y el club puede ver el cálculo completo, mes por mes, dentro de la aplicación en «Cancha billing» antes de que le llegue. Si a un club nadie le ha pagado por un jugador, no le cobramos nada por ese jugador.

The only thing we do invoice is the true-up on cash payments (or Venmo, Zelle and the like) beyond the 20% allowance: $1.00 each. That invoice is sent by hand each month, and the club can see the whole calculation, month by month, inside the app under "Cancha billing" before it arrives. If nobody has paid the club for a player, we charge the club nothing for that player.

Por escrito, y ya. Cualquiera de las dos partes puede terminar el acuerdo con 30 días de aviso por escrito. No hay plazo mínimo, no hay multa por cancelar y no hay que aguantar una llamada de retención: un correo a [email protected] diciendo que quieren terminar es suficiente, y le contestamos confirmándolo. Al cumplirse los 30 días dejamos de descontar nuestra parte de los pagos de las familias.

In writing, and that's it. Either side may end the agreement with 30 days' written notice. There is no minimum term, no cancellation fee, and no retention call to sit through: an email to [email protected] saying you want to end it is enough, and we'll write back confirming. When the 30 days are up we stop taking our share out of family payments.

The contract's rule is short: fees already earned are not refunded; fees for time not yet served are. In practice the ongoing fee is collected as families pay, so there is almost never a balance sitting with us. If a club has paid ahead for something it never got to use, we give it back.

If we ever change the price

Cualquier cambio de precio se avisa con 60 días por escrito. Si el club no lo acepta, puede terminar el acuerdo antes de que el cambio entre en vigor, sin ninguna penalización.

Any change to our fees comes with 60 days' written notice. If a club doesn't accept it, it can end the agreement before the change takes effect, at no penalty.

Si una factura del ajuste mensual queda sin pagar, podemos suspender el servicio avisando con 15 días. Suspender no es lo mismo que terminar y no borra nada: la información del club sigue ahí y el club sigue pudiendo exportarla. Si el servicio se está usando de forma ilegal, la suspensión es inmediata.

If a true-up invoice goes unpaid, we can suspend the service on 15 days' notice. Suspending is not the same as ending it and it deletes nothing: the club's data is still there and the club can still export it. If the service is being used unlawfully, suspension is immediate.

We don't offer a free trial, a launch discount, or founding-club pricing. The published price is the price. If we ever run a promotion, its full conditions will be written here and in the terms before anyone can take it.

Taking everything with you

El club puede exportar toda su información, en un formato usable, en cualquier momento y hasta 60 días después de terminar, y le ayudamos a hacerlo. Después borramos la información del club dentro de los 90 días siguientes al término, salvo lo que tengamos que conservar por razones fiscales o legales. La cuenta de Stripe del club, y el dinero que tenga adentro, son del club en todo momento: terminar con nosotros no la toca.

A club can export all of its data, in a usable format, at any time and for up to 60 days after the agreement ends, and we'll help. After that we delete the club's data within 90 days of termination, except records we have to keep for tax or legal reasons. The club's Stripe account, and any money in it, are the club's throughout: ending with us doesn't touch it.

We're putting this in plain sight because it's the kind of thing you'd rather know beforehand. When a club refunds a family, the family gets the full amount back and the invoice reverses itself in the app. But the fee Cancha already took out of that payment — $1.19 by card, $1.82 by bank transfer — is not automatically returned today.
